Onetel is a limited company incorporated in 2005 in Nairobi, Kenya. Since then, the company has grown to include a UK office, as well as a regional sales office in the USA. While most back office functions including our NOC are still based in Kenya, all our sales and management activity is now led from our UK office.
Since 2005, Onetel has grown from a small in-country provider to a fully-fledged wholesale carrier with a global footprint. We boast over 110 carrier interconnects, ranging from in-country providers to multi-national mobile operators and some of the world’s largest Tier 1 carriers. Our business is built on our passion for quality and the principle of true partnership. We’re especially proud of the fact that our very first customer is still a key trading partner both as a customer and vendor.
We’re a Flexible Carrier
You’ll find us very easy to do business with and most of all, very transparent. We take a consultative approach to telecoms, with the single aim of satisfying our customer’s needs. Though not available to every single destination, or indeed suitable for every customer, our tailor-made service provides our partners dependable, predictable quality and margins on a destination by destination basis.
Last year, we saw a 15% increase in our annual revenues of several million dollars per annum and an 18% increase the previous year. Though in part due to the level of high cost destinations carried on our network, the general trend shows our ability to manage an efficient business, and continue to grow in a very competitive marketplace.
Whilst the actual figures in themselves are pretty modest in our industry, they are also a good indicator of our ability to successfully manage our customers’ traffic over the longer term, as well as offer our vendors reassurance of our financial stability and commitment to always paying our bills on time.
